About
Meteor Airlines is a Moroccan rock band from Tinghir in the southeast of Morocco, known for its natural and cultural landscapes, from kasbahs, oasis, mountains, and fields, this area holds a special place in the band's heart. Tinghir symbolize both resistance and peace, serving as a significant source of inspiration for the band.
The band’s music, known as “Amazigh Rock”, is a unique fusion of local rhythms, musical and poetic heritage with rock tonalities. Their themes revolve around Moroccan Amazigh history, values, customs, and global challenges. Their latest album, AGDAL, focuses on climate resilience and the environmental traditional knowledge of Morocco's Amazigh communities.
The band was founded in 2016 and is currently producing songs in their mother tongue Tamazight and have a distinct visual identity where they wear Cloaks known as "Azennar".
